andrew jamieson — heraldic artist,
manuscript illuminator & calligrapher
Andrew Stewart Jamieson, known professionally as Andrew Jamieson, established his professional art practice in 1983. He creates bespoke heraldic artwork, illuminated manuscripts and decorative commissions for private clients, families and institutions throughout the world.
Every commission is individually designed and executed by hand, drawing upon a lifetime's study of heraldry, historical ornament, symbolism and the traditional skills of the manuscript illuminator.
From a single coat of arms painted on vellum to an extensive decorative scheme for interiors, each work is conceived as an original work of art — made to endure for generations.
For more than forty years, Andrew's work has been commissioned by private collectors, distinguished families, institutions and organisations in Britain and internationally. His work can be found in private collections and important interiors, as well as in commissions connected with the Royal Household, the College of Arms, Windsor Castle, the Crown Office, the Vatican, various universities and other institutions.
“Andrew has the highest level of mastery of his craft.”
Stephen A. Schwarzman KBE
